Each poem is the process he goes through in trying to make sense of the world. He worries about the future, struggles to live in the present, and obsesses about the past. This book of poems is a secret chronicling the struggle of the teen mind. It is written to show teens the consistent struggle of general humanity, but most importantly that we are not alone.

Purchase Here

Mariposa de Fuego: A Journey to Empowerment
Áurea Maria Altamirano

My poems speak about my journey of life through my explorations, processing of uncomfortable feelings, and stories never told from my childhood to my adulthood in order to find my path of healing: Dismembering and taming my fears to find my cure. I took the decision to become conscious of all of my traumas after a strong period of depression after my father’s death. I still have a long walk to go but now I am more conscious about it, so I can pursue my dream of owning myself. My journey goes through my processes; loss of friends in childhood, the influences of the life of women in my family on me, my feminism perspective, grief about my relationship with my father, my motherhood and being a Latina, as well as relationship issues and discovering what is what I am looking for in life. The book could not leave behind my native language, so there are sparks of Spanish all over the poems, and it contains my own artwork and also photography in collaboration. I hope you enjoy accompanying me in this bumpy journey.

Purchase Here

The Pain Left Behind: Surviving Suicide Loss A Collection of Poems
Erica B. Guided by the voice of the author’s inner child, she explores the possibility of childhood memories and reminiscence. Questions are asked even if they’re not able to be answered. One question that always remains is, how can people blossom in a world that isn’t built for people to do so under capitalism and trauma? Is this the house that we are supposed to live and love in? Is home found in our bodies, in bowls of fruit, in different corners of the Earth? The Day the Flowers Bloomed searches for these answers and creates a playground to daydream in, to find connection and to find the Self. Drawing from his Mexican-American upbringing in Southern California, Lechuga weaves together the ancient and the contemporary, blending Aztec and Greek mythology with raw, heart-wrenching stories of love, loss, and the search for meaning. With intricate rhyme schemes and lyrical finesse, he transforms personal pain into powerful, timeless mythologies-inviting readers to witness the sacred and the everyday in new and profound ways. These poems don’t just tell stories–they forge new myths.

Purchase Here

Edgar Allan Poe Memorial, Baltimore, Maryland AWP Baltimore Daxson Publishing On-Site Reading & Author Signing Schedule Thursday, March 5th 10:00am-12:00pm: The Day the Flowers Bloomed by Clara Roque-Wagner 12:00pm-2:00pm:Soul Open by Jeffrey Martin CANCELLED 1:30pm-3:30pm: Love, Magic & Maroon Moons Teas & Tonics by Stella the Poet Friday, March 6th 10:00am-12:00pm: A Sentimental Garden by […]

["post-2","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
